Originally from the Canadian Prairies, Landa Houliston has been working and studying as an artist for over ten years, primarily experimenting with acrylics and mixed media.  

Building on her love of the outdoors, Landa is continually inspired by the use of texture and colour in her paintings to bring a sense of boldness and energy to everyday surroundings, and she plays with abstraction and light to create a sculptural quality when painting figures, still lives and landscapes alike.
